Your Role Encompassed
- Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational strategies.
- Create individualized treatment plans to meet immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Administer focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing elements such as language, communication, fluency, and swallowing.
- Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nursing teams, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate unified care strategies.
- Provide education for patients and families, empowering them to facilitate progress beyond treatment hours.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions while ensuring ongoing care is maintained throughout the patient's journey.
- Keep meticulous and timely documentation in line with local, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements through continual education and collaboration with peers.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- A valid Speech Language Pathologist state license.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of hire.
