Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The OR Nurse will provide specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients, ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. The role involves working collaboratively with surgical teams to support patient comfort and safety from pre-op to post-op.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and readiness for surgery.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any intraoperative changes.
• Document surgical procedures and patient responses accurately.
• Educate patients on postoperative care instructions and recovery process.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and current RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in orthopedic spine, trauma, and Tobots surgeries.
• Be certified in American Heart Association BLS and ACLS.
• Preferably hold a national certification in perioperative or surgical nursing.
