Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics (Days)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 5 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for med-surg and orthopedic patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and discharge planning
• Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and responses to treatment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a Medical Surgical nursing setting
• Ability to manage a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an orthopedic nursing environment
• Familiarity with post-operative orthopedic patient care and recovery protocols
