Cost Accountant Position
Our client in Aurora, CO is looking for a Cost Accountant. The position details are as follows.
Responsibilities:
- Review monthly financial performance including variances and identifying corrective actions with Controller
- Prepare financial report providing updated forecast of current sales and profits
- Ensure compliance of financial records with GAAP accounting standards
- Leverage operational excellence skills to drive efficiency and increased effectiveness across business processes
- Direct all cost accounting, including standards and transfer pricing issues
- Act upon changes in business operations, markets served and products to ensure management has necessary data
- Direct all activity related to cash management, including receivables and payables
- Support long-term strategic planning and operational planning and budgeting
- Coordinate and support audit activity and resources, both internal and external
- Monitor preparation of required tax and regulatory reporting
- Provide planning and coordination support for acquisitions and strategic alliances
Requirements:
- 5+ years Accounting, 2+ years of Cost Accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance related field
- Manufacturing is a plus
