Cost Accountant

Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing or project-based environments Strong knowledge of US GAAP, project and cost accounting, and internal controls Experience in implementing an integrated systems Hands‑on experience with inventory, WIP, fixed assets, and capital‑intensive operations Excellent communicator; can articulate complex concepts to a varied audience Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to evaluate the need for change and the impact to the business; a builder Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

• Desirable) Experience in government contracting/government cost accounting environment with strong understanding of FAR and CAS
• Desirable) Experience in managing regulatory, commercial, and government audits
• Desirable) Ability to effectively manage multiple, large scale projects and dynamically shift focus and reprioritize when needed
• Desirable) Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industry experience

What the job involves As a Cost Accountant, you will apply your skills to oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, audit, and compliance functions while establishing robust financial controls, policies, and reporting systems that protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance The role demands excellence in supporting team members, developing cost accounting, and supporting a move in accounting infrastructure to new enterprise systems including ERP and government compliance tools We are looking for an experienced accountant to apply their expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!
