Key Duties:

  Patient Management
  
  
  Admitting, transferring and discharging patients; ensuring accurate documentation and communication throughout the processes.

  Record Keeping
  
  
  Maintaining and updating patient medical records, including electronic health records (EPIC), and compiling charts.

  Communication
  
  
  Serving as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other departments; answering phone calls; relaying information.

  Scheduling
  
  
  Coordinating appointments, procedures and surgeries for patients.

  Clerical Tasks
  
  
  Performing various typing, filing and data entry projects.

  Supply Management
  
  
  Ordering and organizing supplies for the unit.

  Patient Assistance
  
  
  Helping patients and families by answering questions, giving directions, providing forms and brochures.

  Other Duties
  
  
  May be asked to prepare birth/death certificates, vital sign graphs, or other various unit projects.

  High School Graduate (HSD, GED, HSED)
  
  
  
  

Experience Required:
