Overview


Hospitalist locum tenens opportunity in Englewood, CO for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP). Join a collaborative hospital medicine team in a Denver-area community with easy access to downtown Denver, the Front Range, and mountain recreation. This 12-week pre-operative care assignment offers a Monday through Thursday schedule, shadow orientation, and strong RN and clerk support. Physician Assistants (PA) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) are encouraged to apply.


Job Details

• Location: On-site in Englewood, Colorado, a desirable Denver metro healthcare community with easy access to downtown, the Front Range, and mountain recreation
• Setting: Hospital medicine / pre-operative care
• Coverage Dates: October 5, 2026 - December 28, 2026 (12 weeks)
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday
• Shift Duration: 12-hour coverage
• Patient Population: Pre-operative
• Daily Admissions: 5-15
• Support Staff: RN and clerk support
• Orientation: Shadow orientation
• Clinical Scope: No call, ICU rounding, procedures, or vent management required

Job Requirements

• Active Colorado license required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospital medicine, acute care, or a related clinical setting
• Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred; NP or PA candidates welcomed
• Strong clinical assessment, organization, and communication skills
• Comfort caring for a pre-operative patient population in a team-based hospital medicine environment

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital medicine coverage for pre-operative patients
• Complete patient assessments, follow-up care, and care coordination
• Manage 5-15 daily admissions efficiently while maintaining high-quality patient care
• Collaborate with RN and clerk support staff to promote smooth patient flow
• Deliver care in a no-call environment without ICU rounding, procedures, or vent management duties
