This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences for hotel guests and restaurant patrons. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about food quality and kitchen excellence.Responsibilities:Prepare recipes based on chef specifications.Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, storage areas, and equipmentFollow food safety, sanitation, and health department standards at all timesAssist line cooks and chefs during meal service as neededLabel, stock, and rotate inventory according to FIFO standardsEnsure consistent food quality and presentation standardsProperly store food items and monitor freshnessSupport banquet, restaurant, and room service kitchen operationsAssist with receiving and organizing deliveriesQualifications:Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferredBasic knife skills and understanding of food preparation techniquesAbility to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsFlexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidaysFood Handler Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)Work Environment:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shiftsFrequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motionsComfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and sharp equipmentAbility to safely use kitchen tools, knives, and commercial food preparation equipmentCompensation:$20.00 per hourBenefits:We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and financial security of our employees.
