Maintenance Repairman 2The Department of General Services is seeking Maintenance Repairman 2s to serve as lead workers in the performance of a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as refrigeration systems, units, equipment, and peripheral devices for commonwealth buildings. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:System Monitoring: Monitor building automation systems to support maintenance activitiesInitial Response: Check mechanical systems for alarms or comfort concerns using visual and mechanical observationsPreventative Care: Maintain HVAC components by cleaning, replacing filters, and servicing moving partsTroubleshooting Aid: Assist higher level staff in identifying issues with airflow, refrigerant flow, and electrical componentsMaterial Planning: Estimate needed parts and supplies for maintenance projectsFacility Upkeep: Perform routine cleaning and general building maintenanceInterested in learning more?
