Outpatient/Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP (Hybrid) – New Jersey Licensed Montclair, NJ We are a psychiatrist‑owned mental health practice rooted in New York City, serving individuals across New York, NewJersey, Connecticut, Florida, and Massachusetts through virtual and hybrid appointments. Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical psychotherapy and pharmacology services to patients, primarily via telehealth, supported by psychiatrists, therapists, and operational teams. Responsibilities Provide quality clinical care, exemplifying company culture, values, and guiding principles. Maintain a weekly average of 50 patient sessions (25 or 45‑minute). Manage schedule, continuity of care, and high‑frequency follow‑ups. Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and develop curated patient‑centered treatment plans. Provide psychotherapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, MI, and other evidence‑based treatments. Prescribe and refill medications with appropriate clinical judgment. Deliver clinical support and counseling in a telehealth environment. Coach patients on health condition management and behavior change. Provide crisis intervention and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Document sessions thoroughly and timely. Promote a collaborative work culture and contribute to team functions. Perform any other duties assigned by department or group leaders. Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent). NewJersey state licensure: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Registered Nurse license, and active DEA license. PMHNP‑BC board certification. At least one year of experience practicing psychotherapy (CBT, MI, DBT, etc.). Experience in an outpatient setting. Telehealth/telemedicine experience. Proficiency with GoogleSuite, EHR platforms, and other technology systems. Intermediate computer skills and technical aptitude. Benefits 3 weeks front‑loaded PTO + 9 paid holidays.
