Location: Anchorage, AK

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Reports to: CEO

JOB OVERVIEW

The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth strategy and expanding its presence within the federal contracting marketplace. The CGO leads business development, capture management, and strategic partnerships to ensure alignment with client mission requirements and corporateobjectives. This executive will spearhead initiatives that enhance competitiveness,identifyemerging opportunities, and ensure sustained revenue growth in the highly regulated government contracting sector.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Develop and execute the company’s growth strategy in alignment with corporate goals and government mission priorities.
• Lead and oversee all business development, capture, and proposal activities to expand market share.
• Build and strengthen relationships with federal agencies, prime contractors, and industry partners.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new opportunities, including contract vehicles, joint ventures, and acquisitions
• Guide cross-functional teams in developing winning strategies, proposals, and innovative solutions.
• Monitor market trends, budget forecasts, and federal procurement priorities toanticipateshifts in demand.
• Represent the company at industry forums, government events, and client meetings to promote corporate capabilities.
• Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and COO to ensure resources, pricing, and compliance align with growth strategies.
• Provide performance metrics and pipeline forecasts to the executive team and Board of Directors.
• Mentor and develop business development and capture leaders to build a high-performing growth organization.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degreein business administration, Marketing, International Relations,or related field (master’s degree in business administration(MBA), Public Policy, or Strategic Management preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 8 years in a senior finance role in the government contracting sector.
• Training or certification in Capture Management, Proposal Development (APMP), or Program Management (PMP), preferred.
• Active or eligible for U.S. Government security clearance.(Secret or higher), preferred.
• Must have prior experience working on projects of similar skillsand complexity.
• Must be proficient inEnglishboth verbal and written communication.
• Proventrack recordof leading business development and growth in the federal contracting industry.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. government procurement processes, including FAR/DFARS and contracting vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, etc.).
• Strong leadership in capture management, proposal development, and strategic partnership building.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to analyze market intelligence and translate data into actionable strategies.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external decision-makers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on results, innovation, and long-term growth.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will primarily work in an office setting. The office environment is professional, collaborative, and conducive to focused work. The typical office amenities and equipment, including computer, phones, and other necessary tools, will be provided.

This position may require minimal travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

SEDENTARY WORK

The position involves predominantly sedentary work. Most tasks will be performed while sitting at a desk or a computer workstation.

SCREEN TIME

Extensive use of computer screens and keyboards is required. This role involves working in various software applications and may require extended periods of screen time.

LIFTING & CARRYING

Minimal physical effort is required. Occasionally, the employee may need to lift or carry light office supplies or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

MOBILITY

The employee will need to move around the office to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.

ABOUT GANA-A’YOO, LIMITED

GYL is an Alaska Native-Owned Village Corporation serving its more than 2,000 Native shareholders and four villages located along the Yukon River. Alaska Native Corporations are the result of the passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, which was signed into law in 1971. The act was intended to resolve long-standing issues surrounding aboriginal land claims, to stimulate economic development throughout Alaska, as well as to settle land and financial claims.

As a historically nomadic people who relied on each other, the concept of sharing is essential in Athabascan tradition. For thousands of years small groups would band together to share resources, helping to ensure both the success and survival of the group.
