Welder 2POSITION: Welder 2SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (OT as required)PAY RATE: $26.50 - $28.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits PackageLOCATION: West Fargo, NDSummary Of ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder II is a mid-level welding position, with all work being completed with some supervision.Essential Position ResponsibilitiesEmbrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.Follow all company safety and quality requirements.Mastered all aspects of level 1 positionQualified in welding disciplines required for the facilityAble to work on semi routine assignmentsRequires minimal help from supervisor on new tasksShows initiative to recognize areas of opportunity within current standard proceduresMaintains technical qualifications required for positionsPrompt and dependable attendance.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills And QualitiesExhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.Fits and welds subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal weldsAccurately measures to specified tolerancesPerforms flat and horizontal weldingAdvanced knowledge of weld symbolsBasic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcingAble to final inspect weldsAble to do basic LayoutsUnderstand and follow oral and written directions.Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).Ability to work with others.Ability to work safely and accurately.Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.Education And Work ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED required.2+ years of welding experience preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
