Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor, driver, and vehicle logs.
• Control access to loading areas, yards, and restricted operational spaces in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
