Mill Operator/ Batch Mixer

We are currently hiring a Batch Mix or Mill Operator for a premier facility in Edwardsville, KS. Step into a hands-on position where you will gain valuable skills, work with specialized technology, and be part of a team that recognizes and rewards your efforts. ***Must be flexible to train on the 1st shift****

salary: $20 - $21 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 3 PM - 11:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

Batch Preparation & Weighing:
Follow batch tickets and precise formulas to measure raw materials (pigments, resins, solvents).
Add ingredients in the exact order specified.
Log lot numbers and weights accurately for quality assurance.

Mixing & Milling:
Operate high-speed mixers and Hockmeyer mills to disperse pigments.
Monitor machine settings to optimize viscosity, color consistency, and equipment efficiency.
Safely discharge finished batches and operate press-out units and pump filter systems.

Material Handling & General Operations:
Operate a forklift as needed to transport materials.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills

• Batch making (1 year of experience is required)
• weighing (1 year of experience is required)
• measurement (1 year of experience is required)
• Math and Calculation (1 year of experience is required)
• Forklift Operator (1 year of experience is required)
