Position Overview: 

Creative Business Innovations is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Safety Specialist to join our Client in Talladega, Alabama.

This position plays a critical role in supporting and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the facility by ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Safety Specialist will work closely with production leadership, associates, and management to reduce risk, improve workplace safety, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities: 

Safety & Compliance: 

• Support and promote a safe work environment and positive safety culture throughout the plant.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries and assist with corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and required records.
• Support OSHA compliance and safety-related reporting.

Training & Employee Engagement: 

• Deliver safety training and new hire safety orientation.
• Coach leaders and associates on safe work practices and hazard awareness.
• Participate in safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.
• Reinforce accountability and continuous improvement related to safety performance.

Operations & Continuous Improvement: 

• Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR, and leadership teams to identify and reduce workplace risk.
• Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor trends and recommend improvements to enhance safety performance.

Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Manufacturing or industrial safety experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Experience conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication, training, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to influence and coach across all levels of the organization.

Skills & Abilities: 

• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment: 

• Primarily manufacturing plant environment.
• PPE required while on the production floor.
• Must be comfortable walking the production floor daily.
• Flexibility to support assigned shift, overtime, Saturdays, shutdown periods, and business needs as required.
