Java Kafka Developer (Remote)

Job Skillset

Understanding cloud data streaming technologies (Kafka/ksqlDB, StreamSets, AWS Kinesis, GCP PubSub, etc.), stream processing, event-driven architectures Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) Good scripting skills (Python, etc.); experience with Java Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines Knowing techniques for data injection and extraction into/from Kafka-based or similar pipelines Good verbal and written skills in English Being an Agile team player, able to act as a Scrum Master Ability to lead a small team Ability to work with client's high-level requirements, perform interpretation, detalization, implementation of the requirements, as well as demonstration of resulted solution Experience with the GCP services such as: Cloud Storage, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, PubSub will be a plus Knowledge on GCP and/or AWS Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership, guidance and coordination to the project team performing the following activities: Plan, create, and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture Physical deployment of infrastructure across multiple environments Optimization and tuning Standards and patterns development User guide development and training overviews for supporting teams Provide troubleshooting and best practices methodology for development teams Process automation and new application on-boarding Participate in work planning and estimation Present technical solutions to various stakeholders Design monitoring solutions and baseline statistics reporting to support the implementation Level 3 support for development teams that are utilizing the platform Planning and execution of infrastructure projects as well as on-boarding of new application development projects Manage Scrum Team
