Pediatric Anesthesia

Job Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology at MetroHealth Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University, has an immediate opening for a full‑time ABA board‑certified/eligible anesthesiologist with Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship training. The role includes direct patient care, resident teaching, and supervision of residents, CRNAs, and CAAs. Clinical research opportunities are available and participation is encouraged. Academic appointment is at CWRU School of Medicine and compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Alternate Entry Pathway (AEP) Opportunity

Outstanding internationally trained and certified anesthesiologists currently practicing in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Support and guidance are offered for candidates seeking ABA certification via the AEP, including the Clinician Educator and Research & Fellowship pathways. Candidates should demonstrate documented achievement in teaching and/or scholarship. A four‑year mentoring plan will be provided to support academic development.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in anesthesia for pediatric patients.
• Teach and supervise residents, CRNAs, and CAAs.
• Engage in clinical research and scholarship.
• Participate in academic development and mentoring programs.

Qualifications

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
• Completed Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship training.
• Clinical, teaching, or research experience in anesthesiology.
• Ability to work in an academic hospital environment.
• Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
