NOLA Restaurant is looking for an experienced Line Cook / Back of House Manager on Duty (BOH MOD) who can execute at a high level while helping lead a fast-paced kitchen.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is confident on the line, understands kitchen operations, and can step into a leadership role when needed. We are looking for someone who works with urgency, maintains high standards, communicates clearly, and helps solve problems rather than waiting for someone else to handle them.

What You'll Do

• Execute menu items accurately, consistently, and efficiently
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station
• Maintain recipe, portion, presentation, and quality standards
• Work quickly and calmly during high-volume service
• Help coordinate the line and keep tickets moving efficiently
• Monitor food quality, ticket times, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
• Communicate clearly with FOH, BOH, and management during service
• Help direct BOH team members and keep the kitchen on task when serving as MOD
• Identify problems and take appropriate action before they affect service
• Assist with opening, closing, prep, cleaning, and kitchen checklists
• Communicate product shortages, equipment issues, staffing concerns, and other operational needs to management
• Follow and reinforce food safety, sanitation, and NOLA kitchen standards
• Help train and support BOH team members when needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous high-volume line cook experience required
• Previous kitchen leadership, Lead Cook, Shift Lead, or BOH MOD experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, prep, and station organization
• Able to work multiple stations and adapt when the kitchen needs support
• Strong sense of urgency and awareness during service
• Able to prioritize and make good decisions under pressure
• Dependable and punctual
• Takes initiative without requiring constant direction
• Comfortable giving clear direction and holding standards
• Professional and respectful when communicating with the team
• Coachable and receptive to feedback
• Able to remain calm and solution-focused during difficult services
