Registered Nurse (RN) - Prep and Recovery Unit (PAR)

Job Type: Full-Time | 0.75 FTE or 60 hours per pay period

Schedule: 6 x 10-hour evening shifts, 11 AM - 9 PM, plus one on-call weekend rotation every 6-8 weeks (Saturday/Sunday, 9 AM - 5 PM)

Sign-On Bonus: A $7,500 bonus is available for eligible candidates.

In this specialized RN position, you will blend clinical skills with compassionate care. As part of the Procedural Admission/Prep and Recovery (PAR) team, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient assessments and providing education.
• Preparing patients for procedures and overseeing their recovery post-procedure, particularly for Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology patients.
• Working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where your contributions directly influence patient outcomes.

• Implementing care plans, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments.
• Documenting care accurately and promptly.
• Monitoring and communicating patient conditions to the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
• Assisting patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
• Exhibiting flexibility to support various departments as needed.
• Coordinating care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Assessing educational needs and delivering appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocating for the emotional and physical well-being of patients.
• Engaging in performance improvement initiatives and required training; may work in other units or take on-call shifts as necessary.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a current RN license in Michigan and have an associate's degree from an accredited nursing program (a bachelor's degree is preferred).

Additional qualifications include:

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (to be obtained within one year).
