Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in the emergency room setting, ensuring timely and effective treatment for patients with urgent medical needs. Supervises and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality care while utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to facilitate appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Have experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Obtain and/or maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
