Business Systems and Finance Lead

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Business Systems and Finance Lead. This role supports Carolina Performing Arts by managing database development and administration, executing finance transactions and reconciliations, and providing administrative and clerical support to ensure accurate operational data, financial processing, and staff training. Highlights Lead tracking, reconciliation, and analysis of operational data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain and analyze reports for monthly expenses and labor cost reconciliation including payroll allocations. Manage and execute routine and complex financial transactions such as invoices, payments, purchase orders, reimbursements, and billing. Train staff and maintain documentation related to business processes, databases, and reporting tools. Provide backup coverage for office operations, inventory management, basic IT coordination, and front-office support. Required skills include advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially Power Automate, Forms, Excel, and Access Database with basic SQL knowledge. Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalency with one year of accounting experience or equivalent training. Position offers $25.00 to $30.00 per hour on a part-time temporary basis (30 hours/week). Reports to the Director of Operations and Strategy within the Carolina Performing Arts Business Office team.
