The base compensation range for role of Field Engineer in San Diego, CA posted above is $73,000 to $110,000. Job Functions Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman and crews to ensure that work plans are tracked and analyzed to maximize efficiency and safety Assist in developing and updating the project schedule. Ensure quality objectives are being met for the project May supervise the work of other project resources and provide mentoring and coaching Prepare field material take‑offs Initiate and prepare requisitions for the procurement of services, materials, and equipment necessary to support the project schedule Schedule and coordinate the release of construction design documents in support of the construction schedule Assist in cost tracking and help maintain budget controls Track quantities, materials, and equipment usage on‑site Additional responsibilities requested by Project Management team Conduct safety audits, perform job hazard analyses (JHAs), manage site‑specific safety plans and support our Safety/Zero Harm culture Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field of study required 5 years of Heavy Civil/Rail construction experience in a related Engineer role required Design‑build construction project experience is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Primavera P6 required Heavy Civils & Rail construction project experience preferred Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus Balfour Beatty is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
