Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one ABA therapy to clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT implements individualized treatment and behavior-support plans, collects accurate clinical data, assists clients in developing functional skills, and maintains professional communication with families and the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in home, clinic, community, or other approved settings.
Implement treatment plans and behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
Teach communication, social, play, self-help, daily-living, academic-readiness, and other individualized skills.
Implement behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition procedures according to the treatment plan.
Collect accurate, timely data during therapy sessions.
Complete session notes and other required clinical documentation within established timelines.
Follow reinforcement, prompting, shaping, task-analysis, natural-environment teaching, discrete-trial teaching, and other ABA procedures as directed by the BCBA.
Participate in ongoing supervision and competency assessments with the supervising BCBA.
Communicate client progress, concerns, incidents, and significant changes promptly to the BCBA.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and families.
Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Brivana Health policies.
Follow applicable BACB requirements, payer requirements, and company clinical and compliance procedures.
Participate in required training, team meetings, and professional-development activities.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Follow mandated-reporting, incident-reporting, emergency, and safety procedures.
Travel to client locations as required by assigned cases.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in psychology, education, behavioral science, social work, or a related field is preferred.
Active RBT certification/credential in good standing.
Ability to meet applicable background-check and employment-screening requirements.
Ability to complete required CPR/First Aid and other company-required training.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Dependable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations when required.
Ability to work effectively with children, families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience providing ABA services.
Experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities.
Experience providing home-based or community-based ABA services.
Familiarity with electronic data collection and ABA practice-management systems.
Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

Depending on the client's treatment plan, the position may require the ability to sit on the floor, stand, walk, bend, transition between activities, participate in play-based activities, and respond appropriately to client safety needs. Schedule
Schedules may include weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends depending on client needs and employee availability. Consistent availability is important for continuity of care.

RBTs are expected to maintain their credential and comply with applicable professional, ethical, supervision, training, documentation, confidentiality, and competency requirements throughout employment.
