Job Details TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. Perform ongoing assessments and provide treatments as ordered by a physician. Document findings and educate/support patients' families. Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed. Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lift 20 pounds easily; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Work in a fast‑paced environment with patients that may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative. Requirements 1–2 years recent acute care experience. BLS certification, 2 years of experience. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
