• One (1) year of experience in Long-Term Care or CNA capacity

Description:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will ensure that residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs are met as outlined in the plan of care. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, including hygiene, grooming, and dressing, as well as incontinence/catheter care. Documentations must be completed per protocol. It is crucial to maintain the resident's environment and safety as outlined in the plan of care, including promptly answering call lights and alarms. Safety measures include providing safety mats, low beds, and appropriate use of equipment. Nutritional needs of residents will be addressed, including meal delivery, tray preparation, and feeding with respect to residents' preferences. Documentations related to these tasks must be completed per protocol. Rehabilitative needs such as range of motion exercises, ambulation, and transfers will be performed as outlined in the plan of care. Residents' rights, refusals, and concerns must be reported to the Charge Nurse promptly. Changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status must also be communicated timely. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is anticipated, and tasks may involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
