Cook (Nursing Home) FT

Rolling Hills Healthcare Center is searching for a Cook to prepare meals for our residents. This is a great opportunity to gain experience. We are looking for a FT Cook to join our team! Healthcare field within a kitchen environment. Starting pay rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour based on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package. Duties include: Preparing meals in its entirety in a timely fashion for resident meal service. Making soups and sauces using fresh ingredients. Understanding and operating permanent equipment in food preparation and cooking. Participating in cleaning, sweeping, mopping their station ensuring high levels of sanitation. Understanding special diets, food textures and liquid consistencies for keeping our residents safe at meal service. Requirements: Being able to work in a team environment. Having a positive attitude. Communicating well with others. Being dependable and compassionate. Lifting, bending, reaching and standing for long periods. Some formal cooking or cooking knowledge preferred. ServSafe preferred.
