Job Requirements

Work Experience
* Completion of a neonatology fellowship.

Education
* MD or DO * Board-certified or board-eligible in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Licensed as a physician in the State of Michigan. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
* Proficiency with ventilators, CPAP, umbilical lines, and advanced monitoring equipment. * Ability to react calmly and efficiently to life-threatening emergencies. * Expert-level data interpretation and diagnostic skills for rapidly changing patient conditions. * Highly effective in emotional, high-stakes communication with families.

The University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing is seeking per diem, enthusiastic and dedicated Neonatologists to join the Neonatology team. UMH-Sparrow iscommitted to improving access to medical care across the Mid-Michigan region.

* Provide clinical care in a 35-bed Level III NICU and a 12-bed Special Care Nursery

* NICU manages 700-800 admissions annually, with high-frequency ventilation, inhaled

nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia

* Team includes neonatologists, APPs, fellows, and residents

* Participate in academic case conferences and QI initiatives with Michigan Medicine
