Litigation Paralegal

Location: Encino, CA (Hybrid)


A premier Los Angeles-based labor and employment law firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its litigation team. The firm represents employers across a wide range of industries, providing strategic counsel and litigation representation in all areas of labor and employment law.

This role is integral to the firm's litigation practice and provides direct support to attorneys throughout all stages of the legal process, from pre-litigation investigation through trial. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting complex litigation matters in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare subpoenas for records and personal appearances.
• Assist with document productions, including Bates stamping, organization, and quality control.
• Prepare and manage SharePoint links for document sharing and collaboration.
• Ingest, manage, and work within the DISCO e-discovery database platform.
• Submit and track Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and Public Records Act (PRA) requests.
• Conduct background investigations in support of litigation matters.
• Provide comprehensive trial support, including:
  
  • Preparing exhibit lists, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • Coordinating with vendors.
  • Managing trial subpoenas.
  • Assisting with courtroom setup and trial logistics.
• Redact sensitive information from documents in accordance with legal requirements.
• Research California codes and statutory authority relevant to active cases.
• Conduct verdict searches and PACER searches as directed by attorneys.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal , preferably supporting labor & employment or civil litigation matters .
• Paralegal certification required.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Proficiency with:
  
  • E-discovery platforms ( DISCO experience preferred ).
  • Microsoft SharePoint.
  • PACER.
• Familiarity with California court procedures and litigation rules.
