Job Title: Echocardiogram Technician

Location: Shreveport, LA

Pay: $80/hr

Shifts: 7AM-3:30PM (Monday-Friday)

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Echocardiogram Technician for a travel assignment in Shreveport, LA. This role focuses on performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures in a dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will support evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular conditions within various settings including OR, inpatient, outpatient, and cath lab.

Key Responsibilities of the Echocardiogram Technician

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures per physician orders
Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to obtain diagnostic-quality images
Ensure proper documentation and labeling of studies in accordance with departmental and accreditation standards
Exercise independent judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate imaging approaches
Elevate complex or unusual cases to senior technicians or management for review
Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IAC, ASE)
Participate in routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Communicate effectively with referring providers to clarify orders and ensure appropriate study selection

Requirements of the Echocardiogram Technician

Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram, cardiovascular sonography, or equivalent program required
1-3 years of echocardiography experience preferred
One of the following registrations is required: Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI, Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
BLS required
