Research Analyst

About this role


Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Research Analyst. The RAI is responsible for HIV/STI data quality assurance and data entry for the Clinical Field Team (CFT) and Community Testing & Navigation Team and other priority DCS services. The RAI is also responsible for producing data reports, annual progress reports, and conducting quality assurance and improvement tasks. The RAI will provide patient information for field-based activities, conduct QA on laboratory reporting, review surveillance reporting, and conduct record searches in multiple person-locating systems and electronic medical records.


The Direct Community Services (DCS) Research Analyst I (RAI) provides data-related support across the Testing & Navigation Section of DCS. To address elevated HIV/STI rates in special populations and areas highly impacted by HIV and STIs, the Direct Community Services (DCS) Clinical Field Team (CFT) and Community Testing & Navigation Team provides HIV/STI testing, prevention, treatment, and linkage navigation services via mobile testing unit and field-based testing to improve health outcomes for people experiencing homelessness (PEH), persons of reproductive potential, women of color, and other priority populations across Los Angeles County.


The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 8/31/27, with the good chance of extension.


Pay Rate: $34.89/hr working 40 hours a week


Location : Hybrid 2 days a week in office, 3 days Telework with potential field work.

Job Duties:

• Data entry may include HIV/STI testing, screening, educational/counseling sessions, linkage to HIV medical care, and STI treatment. Data systems include but not limited to REDCap, CalCONNECT, CalREDIE, I2D2, Sunquest, and ORCHID.
• Data quality assurance reviews and provide quality improvement recommendations
• Produce progress reports, data reports, respond to data requests, conduct data analysis as needed
• Maintain confidential client files
• Participate in meetings, field-based services, and trainings as assigned by Supervisor
• Collaborate/assist other DHSP/DCS teams as needed
• All other duties as assigned by Division Chief, Section Chief

Requirements:

• A master's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and one year's post master's research experience -or-
• A bachelor's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and any combination of relevant education and/or experience totaling three years; and
• A valid Class C California Drivers License, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), HIV, Partner Services, prevention
• Strong data analysis skills, including but not limited to data entry, data QA, and data analysis
• Strong quality management skills, ensure compliance with all guidelines and regulations
• Proficiency in producing data reports
• Proficient in HIV and STI testing technologies
• Proficient in STI screening collection methods
• Knowledge of cultural competence, LGBTQIA, and gender identities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Maintain confidential information and follow HIPAA policies
• Work flexible hours
• Able to participate in field-based services
• Preferable: Bilingual Spanish
