A Day in the Life

The Shipping & Receiving function supports distribution and warehouse operations by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and delivery of materials that support business and production requirements. This team plays a critical role in inventory accuracy, material availability, and operational efficiency through the coordination of inbound and outbound material flow.

This position is based at the Rice Creek facility and is an onsite role. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and distributing materials to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. This role coordinates inbound shipments, maintains inventory accuracy through system transactions, and ensures materials are available to meet production and operational requirements while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment and verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.

• Inspect inbound materials for damage, quantity variances, and quality concerns, escalating issues as appropriate.

• Enter receiving and inventory transactions accurately within inventory management systems.

• Investigate and coordinate resolution of shipment discrepancies with suppliers and internal business partners.

• Pick, stage, and deliver materials to support production schedules and operational requirements.

• Operate approved material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks, in accordance with established procedures.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation, material movement, and transaction processing.

• Follow all safety, quality, regulatory, and housekeeping requirements to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, distribution, inventory control, or material handling operations.

• No minimum education requirement.

• Experience using inventory management, warehouse management, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to process material transactions.

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in accordance with job requirements and established safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating work activities, delegating tasks, or providing day-to-day guidance to team members.

• Experience using SAP, FedEx Ship Manager, or other transportation management, shipping, or logistics systems.

• Experience working in a distribution center environment.

• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution environment.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$42,000.00 - $63,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
