In this role, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for youth in our care and for staff. Rogue Valley is a 24/7 youth correctional facility housing individuals aged 12 to 24, with most residents in the 18–24 age range. As a GLC2, you will provide continuous interactive supervision of youth and ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and rules. Responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, building rapport, addressing and redirecting behavior, modeling pro-social skills, and supporting youth treatment goals. A Day In The Life: Coaching, confronting, and correcting youth behavior as necessary. Observing and documenting youth behavior and participation in programs. Monitoring youth for health and safety risks, including suicide prevention. Conducting security inspections and searches of youth living units and youth. Administering medication to youth under indirect supervision of medical staff and maintaining contact with medical staff to ensure appropriate care. Additional Details: Multiple Positions: This recruitment will establish a list of qualified candidates to fill current and future vacancies—permanent, full-time, part-time, limited duration (with benefits) and temporary positions. Under-fill: The goal is to fill at a GLC2 level. Candidates meeting minimum qualifications for GLC1 may apply, as under-fill to GLC2 may occur. Under-fill training will not exceed one year. Qualifications: GLC2 Qualifications: You must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; AND Six months of full-time experience observing, evaluating, developing, and monitoring human behavior and performance; OR An Associate degree or Certificate in a behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related field. Under-fill - GLC1 Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Special Qualifications: You must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record. Physical Abilities Test (PAT): This position requires a PAT. The test includes demonstrating the ability to perform tasks such as dexterity, lifting, mobility, balance, endurance, vision, and hearing to meet job requirements.
