This position is based in Beltsville, Laurel, and Columbia, MD and is performed in a retail environment. Temple Hills, MD  is the nearest McCrea office location supporting this position; however, the primary work loca tion is in  Beltsville, Laurel, and Columbia, MD .  

PAY & SCHEDULE

 

Starting Pay: $18 - $20 per hour

Commission: $50 per booked appointment

Schedule: 

 

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

• Monday - Friday: Shifts may be scheduled between 11 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday - Sunday: Shifts may be scheduled between 9 AM – 6 PM

 

Employees may be scheduled 4 - 5 days per week, depending on full-time/part-time status, business needs, and assigned location. Weekend availability is required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Generator is responsible for engaging retail customers and generating qualified leads for McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services. This customer-facing role involves initiating conversations with customers, identifying heating and cooling needs, promoting the company’s HVAC services, and scheduling appointments for equipment replacements, upgrades, or consultations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The responsibilities outlined below represent the primary duties of this position. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with company procedures, applicable standards, and job requirements, with the level of supervision and support appropriate to the employee’s experience and level of training.

 

• Greet and engage retail customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
• Initiate conversations with customers to identify potential heating and cooling needs and interest in HVAC services.
• Promote McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services and educate customers on available HVAC services and solutions.
• Identify qualified sales opportunities and schedule appointments for HVAC consultations, equipment replacements, or upgrades.
• Work collaboratively with store personnel to maximize lead-generation opportunities and maintain a positive customer experience.
• Accurately record customer information, leads, and scheduled appointments in accordance with company procedures.
• Meet established lead-generation and appointment-setting goals.
• Participate in training to develop product knowledge, customer engagement, and sales skills.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of promotional materials and displays as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeaner while representing the company positively while interacting with customers.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to improve lead-generation strategies and customer engagement.

• Previous retail, customer service, sales, or lead-generation experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
• Ability and willingness to learn company services, products, and lead-generation processes through training.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6 - 8 hours per shift.
• Frequently use hands and arms to interact with customers, materials, displays, and promotional items.
• Occasionally lift, carry, and move promotional materials or display items as needed.
• Bend, reach, and move throughout the assigned retail area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The work environment described below is representative of the conditions an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.

• Work is primarily performed in a retail store environment with frequent interaction with customers and store personnel.
• The employee may work in areas with moderate to high customer traffic and varying levels of noise.
