Fire Sprinkler Inspector

We are currently hiring a Fire Systems Inspector to support customers in the area near Norwich, NY. This role requires daily travel between Norwich and Cooperstown, NY. Responsibilities Ensure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction. Complete inspections and interface with Inspection Coordinator to deliver work per proposed scope. Use an online scheduling calendar to manage tasks, locations, and maintain required company documents such as timesheets and safety audits. Maintain positive customer relationships and discuss inspection results with the customer. Maintain equipment, supplies, and company vehicle in good working order. Stay current with NFPA standards, code requirements, and industry changes; obtain NICET certifications. Complete in‑house training program on fire protection system inspections. Complete manufacturer training on fire protection systems as required. Obtain OSHA 10 certification through the company safety program. Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager. Qualifications Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Work with minimal supervision after the training period is completed. Have a mechanical and math aptitude, along with exceptional computer skills. Be professional and organized. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Any trade experience preferred; at least 2 years of trade experience is a plus. Previous experience in the fire protection industry is a plus but not required. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Valid state driver’s license required. NICET certification preferred or willingness and ability to obtain. Physical Demands and Work Environment Industrial, commercial, and residential building environments with moderate to high noise levels; comfortable working at heights when required. Mostly a physically demanding role; majority of daily demand involves standing, walking, and stair climbing; some ladder work may be required. May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds. May need to travel to multiple job sites in a day; some overnight travel may be required with notice. Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
