$30 per billable hour base rate, up to $45 per billable hour for audits requiring travel to policyholder locations.

RLD Associates, Inc., a leading provider of premium audit and insurance services, is seeking an independent, detail-oriented Full Time Premium Auditor to serve the Myrtle Beach, SC territory .

Most work is completed from your home office, with local travel required to meet policyholders and conduct on-site insurance premium audits.

Compensation

• Starting base rate of $30 per billable hour for audits completed from home
• Audits involving travel can pay up to $45+ per billable hour
• Production-based compensation that rewards efficiency and experience
• Opportunity to increase earnings through additional assignments

Territory

This position covers the Myrtle Beach, SC area .

• Travel is typically required 2-3   days per week
• Typical travel radius is up to 60 miles
• Reliable transportation is required

What You'll Do

As a Premium Auditor, you will work directly with businesses to verify exposures used in the calculation of commercial insurance premiums. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and prioritizing assigned audit inventory
• Contacting policyholders to schedule audit appointments
• Conducting onsite and virtual premium audits
• Interviewing business owners and management regarding operations
• Examining payroll, sales, subcontractor, and financial records
• Comparing records against tax documents and insurance classifications
• Researching and applying insurance manual rules and classifications
• Performing calculations and data analysis
• Preparing accurate, professional audit reports
• Meeting quality and timeliness expectations

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

• Insurance Premium Auditing
• Commercial Insurance
• Workers' Compensation
• General Liability
• Bookkeeping
• Payroll 
• Accounting

Education

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
