Field Support Technician

Highland Electric Fleets’ mission is to make electric fleets accessible and affordable for all, enabling communities to realize the benefits of cleaner, quieter and healthier fleets. Responsibilities Represent the company at customer locations with the highest standards of professional conduct. Support the go-live process for new EV charging sites, including coordinating on-site activities and flagging risks or delays to the Commissioning Engineer. Conduct new vehicle inspections, verifying vehicle readiness and documenting findings prior to site activation. Assist technicians in asset inspections, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing customer assets on-site as needed. Follow established safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Maintain extremely thorough, accurate, and timely documentation for all commissioning activities, inspections, and work completed, using company asset management and project tracking platforms. Support High Voltage (HV) charger operations, including conducting plug cycles and responding to service needs during commissioning. Perform Low Voltage (LV) battery replacements and jump-starts as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment to ensure efficiency and safety. Develop and maintain strong customer service skills, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the go-live process. Participate in training programs and hands‑on learning opportunities to develop technical and project coordination expertise. Requirements Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for accurate, organized documentation. Demonstrated time‑management skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to driving continuous process improvement. Proficiency with computers and standard software (documentation tools, spreadsheets, asset/project management platforms) required. Automotive Technology certification from an accredited school preferred (not required). Willingness to develop project management and project coordination skills; prior experience a plus. Basic electrical and AC skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. #J-18808-Ljbffr
