Location

This role follows a hybrid work model, offering the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining regular in-person collaboration. Team members are expected to work from our Indianapolis, IN office , home to our key Medi-Span operations, 8 days per month .

Job Summary

The Associate Director, Technology Product Management for Medi-Span has two connected areas of accountability: owning product strategy for the North America Commercial market and leading strategy and roadmap direction for assigned product areas. These areas currently include solutions that support drug pricing and market access, supply chain and regulatory information, dispensing and pharmacy workflows, and patient-facing medication information.

This leader is the primary Medi-Span Product partner for Commercial Sales opportunities and turns customer, market, competitive, regulatory, and product-performance evidence into clear priorities and investment decisions. The role balances growth with customer commitments, security, modernization, regulatory needs, and ongoing product health, while ensuring priority work moves from discovery through launch, adoption, and measurable results.

The role leads Product professionals and works closely with Engineering, Content, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Customer Support, Systems Implementation, and other Product leaders. Success requires sound judgment, strong commercial healthcare knowledge, and the ability to align teams around customer problems and sustainable business value.

Essential Duties and KEY responsibilities

• Own and continually refine the Medi-Span strategy for the North America Commercial market. Use customer needs, market trends, competitive intelligence, product performance, and business goals to identify growth, retention, and portfolio opportunities.
• Serve as the primary Medi-Span Product partner for Commercial Sales opportunities. Provide product guidance, participate in customer conversations, connect opportunities to the right experts, and set clear expectations about fit, priorities, and timing.
• Own strategy and roadmap direction for assigned product areas. Translate product-line strategy into priorities and make trade-offs across growth, customer commitments, regulatory and standards-driven work, security, modernization, technical debt, and ongoing product health.
• Ensure product decisions are supported by meaningful customer and market evidence. Define the problem, target customer, desired outcome, scope boundaries, and measures of success, and validate value before expanding scope.
• Oversee progress and outcomes from discovery through development, launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement. Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Content to establish accountability, evaluate feasibility, manage dependencies and risks, and remove barriers.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Customer Success, and Systems Implementation to define target buyers, use cases, value, positioning, packaging, launch readiness, adoption plans, and sales enablement for existing and new solutions.
• Define and monitor measurable outcomes for assigned market and product responsibilities, including revenue contribution, retention, adoption, customer value, roadmap progress, product health, and launch results.
• Lead, coach, and develop Product team members through clear expectations, regular feedback, career support, and meaningful growth assignments. Build a culture of accountability, trust, shared ownership, and continuous learning.

Other Duties

• Represent assigned market and product responsibilities in product-line strategy, governance, investment, and industry discussions.
• Build shared understanding of customers, markets, competitors, and products through internal education and clear strategic communication.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or healthcare or equivalent field preferred

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience with healthcare technology, data, or software products, including product leadership responsibilities.
• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience leading B2B solutions from market discovery and validation through launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement.
• Demonstrated success owning product or portfolio strategy and making roadmap trade-offs across growth, customer needs, regulatory requirements, security, modernization, and product health.
• Experience partnering directly with Sales and go-to-market teams to support customer opportunities, product positioning, enablement, and launch readiness in commercial healthcare markets.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, goal setting, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across Product, Engineering, Content, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Customer Support, Systems Implementation, and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with healthcare embedded data and embedded data workflows.
• Experience applying AI in product and software development, including using AI-enabled tools to improve discovery, requirements, design, engineering, testing, or delivery and creating customer-facing AI-enabled solutions, capabilities, or agents that deliver measurable value.
• Proficiency with product-development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, and visual collaboration tools.

Travel Requirements

This role includes up to 20% travel, typically amounting to one trip per month (2–3 days each) for customer engagement or team collaboration. Occasional international travel may be required 1–2 times per year, generally for about a week. We strive to keep travel purposeful and balanced with flexibility.

Compensation:

$133,400.00 - $238,400.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
