Director, Pharmacy

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Business Hours Position Summary The Director of Pharmacy (Hospital) is responsible for collaborating with Pharmacy and System leaders to develop system-wide strategies and priorities for the acute care services at the hospital. Collaboration with hospital leaders within their hospital ensures pharmacy services are appropriate and deliver required outcomes. Responsibilities include leading operational and clinical activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, meeting fiscal expectations, ensuring staff competency, and communicating key activities, outcomes, and improvements. Work situations are varied and require a strong pharmaceutical knowledge base, change management, problem solving, decision-making, data analysis, and leadership. Internal contacts include all leadership at all levels, medical staff, and staff. External contacts include physicians, competing organizations, vendors, and professional organizations. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure. Requirements Eligible for Washington State Pharmacist License MBA, MPH, MHA, or Master degree preferred Successful completion of an Accredited ASHP residency preferred 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience Completion of an Accredited ASHP specialized health system pharmacy administrative residency program in lieu of leadership experience for internal candidates will be considered 8 years of experience and mastery in a professional role/function Experience as a pharmacy RPD preferred Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications About Auburn Medical Center MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, serving South King County since 1921, is a 195‑bed hospital with 58 behavioral health beds, a Family Birth Center, Level II NICU, Level III Trauma Center, MultiCare Regional Heart & Vascular Center, and advanced surgical services including robotic‑assisted procedures. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $212,160.00 - $287,040.00 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certifications. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflected on the appropriate step on the pay scale corresponding to the applicant’s years of experience.
