Job Opportunity – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN – Pennsylvania

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM) with call requirements. Call coverage includes two 8-hour shifts Monday through Thursday and one 12-hour weekend shift within a 6-week schedule. One summer and one winter holiday on-call required.

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center experience providing comprehensive post-anesthesia and post-procedural care for a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Exposure to complex surgical cases including craniotomies, transplants (liver and kidney), cardiac catheterization procedures, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, and trauma cases
• 13-week contract with 16 hours of orientation; first-time travelers welcome
• Charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net; scrubs provided by facility
• Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts
• May float to procedural areas including GI and pain management centers as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Pennsylvania RN license (or compact licensure) required at time of submission
• Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience with Critical Care or PACU background required
• Level I Trauma Center experience and ICU background required
• SICU, MICU, and CTICU experience strongly preferred
• Current certifications required: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS, ACLS, and BLS
• Charting system experience required; familiarity with Cerner or Epic preferred
• Previous charge experience and travel experience preferred
• Completion of PA state fingerprinting and childline clearance (must be completed within one week of contract signing)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
