Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Sherwood, Arkansas (13-week assignment) Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment at a facility in Sherwood, Arkansas. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Experience in Physical Therapy; new graduates welcome to apply. Other certifications or licenses as required for the position. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Essential Skills and Abilities Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Computer literacy (PC skills). Physical Abilities Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary), maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical / Motor Skills Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about while assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental & Sensory Requirements Ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must work under close supervision occasionally yet also independently. Ability to handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on details.
