Automation Estimator

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Automation Estimator in Sacramento, CA to support and grow commercial mechanical operations across the region.

Impact

Win profitable BAS work through accurate, competitive estimates.

Identify scope gaps and risk before bid day.

Partner with sales and engineering on winning proposals.

Build estimating standards that scale with the team.

Responsibilities

Estimate BAS project labor, material, and engineering hours.

Build point lists, BOMs, and submittal packages.

Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotes.

Review drawings, specs, and sequences of operation.

Prepare bid proposals with clear scope and exclusions.

Attend pre-bid walks and post-bid scope reviews.

Hand off awarded projects to PMs with clean buyout.

Refine cost standards from completed jobs.

Requirements

Must-Haves

4+ years estimating BAS or controls projects.

Hands-on familiarity with Niagara, Distech, or Siemens.

Bluebeam and Excel proficiency.

Strong reading of plans and specs.

Nice-to-Haves

Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.

OSHA 30.

Experience with healthcare or life science projects.
