Information Technology Specialist
US Department of Commerce
Job Title
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year.
The individual selected for this position will…
- Oversee information technology programs, automation initiatives, and technical staff supporting patent business operations.
- Provide strategic technical and analytical advice to senior leadership on information technology, patent automation, and emerging technologies.
- Direct the planning, development, implementation, and modernization of enterprise information technology and automation solutions.
- Lead strategic planning, technology implementation, and stakeholder collaboration to support patent examination and business operations.
- Evaluate program performance, technology solutions, and operational requirements to recommend improvements and ensure mission objects are met.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, orally and written communication.
