Information Technology Specialist

Essential Functions
• Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, audiovisual equipment, and related technology systems in accordance with DCCCA standards and procedures.
• Assists with the support and maintenance of network equipment, wireless connectivity, internet services, and telecommunications systems.
• Creates, modifies, and disables user accounts, permissions, and access to organizational systems and applications.
• Provides technical support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other business software.
• Provides assistance with password resets, multi-factor authentication (MFA), account access issues, and connectivity problems.
• Responds to help desk requests and technical support inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists with onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, device deployment, software installation, and equipment recovery.
• Provides end-user training and guidance regarding hardware, software, security awareness, and technology best practices.
• Communicates effectively with users, management, vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues.
• Documents incidents, service requests, solutions, and technology procedures in accordance with department standards.
• Assists with software installation, upgrades, device patching, and routine system maintenance activities.
• Monitors assigned systems and equipment to ensure reliable operation and reports issues requiring escalation.
• Supports remote access technologies, including VPN connections and remote troubleshooting tools.
• Maintains accurate inventory records for hardware, software, mobile devices, technology assets, and assigned equipment.
• Assists with maintaining software licensing compliance and technology asset management processes.
• Coordinates with vendors regarding equipment repairs, warranty service, software support, and technology purchases.
• Assists with implementation of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, access controls, and security awareness initiatives.
• Identifies, documents, and reports suspected security incidents, phishing attempts, malware infections, and policy violations.
• Assists with maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and disaster recovery information.
• Participates in technology projects, system deployments, equipment refreshes, office moves, and other departmental initiatives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• May require up to 20% out-of-town travel.

Education, Experience, and Licensure
• Requires an associate's degree in or a high school diploma or GED with two to three years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar technical roles
• Working knowledge of networking, endpoints, cloud services, and IT infrastructure
• Experience working with or within a managed service provider (MSP) or co-managed IT environment
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with external partners
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.
