Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid – 3 days per week on site) 12-month contract with potential for extension or hire Brooksource is searching for a Security Configuration Compliance Analyst to support enterprise security initiatives for our enterprise financial services client. This role will focus on developing, testing, and implementing configuration compliance policies and controls as part of the Secure Configuration Program. The Analyst will partner closely with technology teams to validate baseline controls, remediate non-compliance, and ensure accurate reporting across multiple platforms. This position requires hands‑on experience with security tools and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, test, and implement configuration compliance policies and technical security controls. Partner with technology teams to validate baseline policy controls and drive remediation of non‑compliant systems. Leverage scanning tools to ensure accurate, consistent compliance reporting across environments. Support ongoing Secure Configuration Program initiatives across multiple platforms and applications. Identify risks, gaps, or inconsistencies in configuration controls and escalate as needed. Engage with multiple technology products simultaneously, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in information security, technology risk management, or a related field. Hands‑on experience configuring and managing enterprise‑level security controls. Experience with vulnerability and configuration compliance tools such as Qualys, Tanium, Tenable, Symantec, or similar. Familiarity with system administration across Unix, Windows, or workstation environments. Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or regex, with the ability to develop and run scripts. Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements within the financial services industry. Experience supporting secure configuration or compliance‑focused programs within large enterprise environments.
