Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring CV scrub experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

Surgery unit with 10 OR suites and 1 Cysto suite

Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Staffing ratio is 1 Surgical Tech to 1 RN for general cases, 2:2 for CV cases

Uses MediTech EMR

May provide on-call coverage 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month

On-site weekend team covers 12-hour shifts, with additional coverage possible for emergency cases

Night shift covered by on-call staff only after 7 PM

Rare floating possibility to an off-site ASC location across from the hospital

Procedures include CABGs, mitral valve replacements, fem bypass, thrombectomy, ortho, neuro/spine, general robotics, GYN robotics, urology, ENT, and podiatry

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiovascular OR nursing required

Must have CV surgical tech scrubbing ability for cardiovascular procedures

Must be able to scrub general procedures and other case types

Preferred skills include ortho and robotic surgery scrub experience

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Scrub in on cardiovascular and general surgical procedures as part of a collaborative OR team

Facility provides blue scrubs due to daily change requirements

Candidates must have a great attitude and be willing to work well with the team

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
