About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Administration to serve as its chief finance officer and a key member of the President's Cabinet. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in finance, budget, administration, operations, auxiliary services, safety and security, and facilities. This role involves collaborating with the president to develop financial strategy and practices that align with the institution's vision and goals. The VPFA will also be the principal financial advisor, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, and will be expected to have a strong understanding of the legislative process as it relates to long-term budget success. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years' of experience in a leadership role related to business, finance, or accounting. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in financial planning, budget development, and strategic and master planning. Experience in higher education or a public entity, as well as a Certified Public Accountant certification, is also desirable. The VPFA will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to have a history of collaborative leadership and the ability to effectively communicate financial matters to a wide range of stakeholders. Responsibilities include overseeing all financial and operational activities, maintaining compliance with financial reporting standards, and managing the college's safety and security program.
