About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its philanthropic efforts in the Red Wing community. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer, responsible for the overall management and direction of the foundation's operations, grantmaking, and community presence. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring the ability to develop and execute the foundation's strategic plan, oversee finances, and represent the organization in the community. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, the founders, and the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the foundation's mission is carried out effectively. Key responsibilities include vision and strategic planning, financial management, grantmaking, and community impact, as well as personnel leadership and board governance. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have at least 8-10 years' of leadership experience, with a strong background in financial management and a proven track record in nonprofit or philanthropic work. The role demands a leader with high emotional intelligence, a bold and entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the community. The ideal candidate will be a natural facilitator, a genuine listener, and deeply relational, with the ability to work effectively in and with diverse communities. While not mandatory, experience in board service, strategic planning, and a collaborative leadership style are preferred. The Executive Director will be expected to live within the Red Wing area and be an active participant in the community.
