Coastal Payroll is currently looking to hire a Client Support Specialist I to join our Client Support team. The Client Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with customer service and payroll processing functions. This position serves as the primary point of contact for a book of clients, providing customer support, training and issue resolution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist in managing shared "book" of clients to ensure that payrolls are processed accurately and according to daily deadlines
• Assist clients with training and ongoing use of our web-based human capital management products
• Help clients analyze payroll reports and develop reporting to assist clients in better understanding payroll data
• Manage high volume incoming calls and support cases
• Work directly under company management to further enhance payroll knowledge and become an expert in the field

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Knowledge and experience in customer service/operations in payroll and human resources functions.
• Strong phone and web-based customer service skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, both at the Federal and State level
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Ability to stay organized, pay close attention to detail, and be accurate
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• BS/BA degree is preferred
