Financial Planner As a Financial Planner, you will be instrumental in helping to shape the financial futures of our firm's most strategic clients. You will work with advisors to cultivate deep, enduring relationships, delivering an exceptional client experience to a client ratio of 8-12 families per advisor. The Goldman Sachs Private Family Office provides financial counseling and full-service implementation to address the financial complexities of CEOs, founders, private equity principals and ultra‑high net worth individuals and their families. Our comprehensive approach incorporates financial planning in areas such as consolidated investment review, income tax preparation and planning, estate planning and wealth transfer, employee benefits, risk management, philanthropic planning, and cash management. Our rigorous apprenticeship model provides analysts and associates with the technical training and client experience required to become an advisor. We are seeking individuals who identify as quick thinkers and self‑starters with a passion to help others. Candidates should have an interest in financial planning and the desire to work closely with ultra‑high net worth individuals. We are looking for candidates who possess strong problem‑solving skills and can thrive in a fast‑paced environment where attention to detail, strong communication skills, and client service are essential. Join an advisor team(s) and help service clients and their families, providing comprehensive personal financial planning, investment planning and tax services. Prepare various client reports in the areas of personal financial statements, cash flow planning, income tax projections, investment allocation, investment performance, estate document reviews, estate flowcharts, etc. Maintain telephone contact and/or face‑to‑face interaction with clients, assistants, and outside advisors. Prepare income and trust tax returns for clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 2-4 years of work experience Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and ability to think critically Enthusiastic and positive approach to problem‑solving and client service Proven track record with cross‑training, task‑sharing and mutually supportive teamwork Must be innovative, pro‑actively manage time and follow through to complete tasks FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 preferred (required within 4 months of hire) Compensation The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $70,000 - $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year‑end.
