Warehouse Team Member II

Job Overview The Warehouse Team Member II maintains a well‑stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. The role requires regular delivery of batteries. Responsibilities Load and unload batteries Restock batteries Charge, clean, date, and rewrap rotations Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims Operate a forklift and motor vehicle Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed Collect and handle payments on account, including cash, checks, and money orders Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse Follow and fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager Perform other duties as requested Qualifications Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift Must have a clean driver’s record and meet driver qualification requirements Scope Data Frequent independent judgment and decision making, backup driver responsibilities, operation with integrity, and a positive attitude. Work Environment Regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle, talk, hear, stand, walk Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally up to 75 lbs Exposure to battery warehouse conditions, moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals Exposure to road hazards when operating or riding in a vehicle Safety Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
